The Conservatives have selected Matthew Taylor as our candidate for the election of Norfolk’s Police and Crime Commissioner, which follows the sudden resignation of former Labour PCC, Sarah Taylor, from the role.
Matthew, a partner in Stalham-based yacht brokers Hinds Taylor, is also a district and Norfolk county councillor.
He has been district councillor for Stalham since December 2021 and became county councillor for the Stalham division in May.
Mr Taylor, also chairman of North Norfolk District Council and a Stalham town councillor, was previously chief of staff for former North Norfolk MP Duncan Baker.
Mr Taylor said he was "incredibly proud" to have been selected as the Conservative police and crime commissioner candidate.
"Norfolk is my home, the place in the world I love more than anywhere - I’m ready to do my bit to try and make it that little bit better," he added.”
