Norfolk County Council has received the legal advice from the Kings Counsel that Norfolk Conservatives requested, and has sent a Pre Action Letter to Steve Reed MP the Secretary of State, challenging the decision on Local Government Reorganisation (LGR).

Reform UK are claiming to be doing something that was already in progress by Norfolk Conservatives!

The decision of the Labour government on LGR seems irrational and needs to be challenged, so the Conservative administration at Norfolk County Council had written to the government asking for their reasoning behind the decision, we also put in Freedom of Information requests and had consulted a KC to look at options for a possible legal challenge.

We are awaiting that advice before deciding, but any challenge has to have a firm legal footing or it is a waste of taxpayers money.

Reform UK have not done anything yet, they are not even in office and do not have a majority.

The LGR decision looks to be irrational and based on a political decision, if it is, we should all be opposing it.
